Biography
Argentinean outfit los Gatos traced its roots to los Gatos Salvajes, the Beatles-inspired Rosario combo. After the musicians relocated to Buenos Aires for club engagements, they issued the single "La Balsa" together with their self-titled album in 1967. The next year los Gatos delivered the power ballad "Viento Dile A La Lluvia," which quickly emerged as a landmark track in the early Latin rock era. Once Volumen 2 appeared, the group embarked on South American tours and subsequently cut its third album, Seremos Amigos. Norberto Napolitano stepped in for Galiffi during 1970, and the lineup proceeded to record Beat, No. 1 and Rock De La Mujer Perdida. Following the breakup, Litto Nebbia launched a solo career that proved highly successful. A December 1970 concert captured at Buenos Aires' Odeón Theatre finally surfaced in 1987 as the live set Inédito En Vivo.
