The Melbourne native traced her initial breakthrough to a musically supportive family that urged guitar lessons and sacrificed the family car to fund studio time. A random meeting with Oscar Dawson, guitarist for Australian indie band Holy Holy, resulted in his production of her first single “Adam.” Released in 2023, the spirited track pairs a wistful melody with layers of punchy guitar and earned one of five finalist slots on Unearthed High, the yearly Triple J program that highlights Australian high-school artists. Gallagher and Dawson reunited in 2024 to deliver the energetic new single “Gray.”
