RALPH embodies the soul-inflected electropop of Canadian singer-songwriter Raffa Weyman, drawing from mid- to late-'80s sonic palettes. The act's first EP, self-titled, arrived in 2017.

Born and raised in Toronto, Weyman studied classical voice as a youngster. She launched RALPH alongside a partner, yet continued alone once Skeletory Records issued the project's debut standalone single, "Trouble," in mid-2015. Signing afterward with 604 Records, she saw the label put out RALPH's self-titled EP in March 2017, an effort that leaned further into '80s keyboard textures and concise pop frameworks. That June brought her rendition of Candi Staton's '70s disco hit "Young Hearts Run Free," while later in the year she dropped "Screenplay," which featured the Darcys and coincided with their joint November 2017 tour. March 2018 marked the premiere of "September Fades," the opening single from her forthcoming full-length debut.
