Los Angeles-based vocalist Maggie Lindemann crafts dusky pop shaped by ’90s alt-rock and electronica textures. Breakthrough arrived via her platinum-certified 2016 single “Pretty Girl,” which reached the Top Ten in the U.K., Ireland, Sweden, and Norway. Her first EP, Paranoia, followed in 2021, with the full-length Suckerpunch appearing the next year; the second EP, Headsplit, surfaced in 2024.

Born in Dallas, Texas, in 1998, Lindemann first drew notice through videos she shared online and her consistent activity across social platforms. Two 2015 singles, “Knocking on Your Heart” and “Couple of Kids,” marked her initial releases, the former achieving notable digital-chart traction. In 2016 she issued “Things,” which climbed into the Top 25 on digital charts and accumulated more than 300,000 YouTube views, then delivered “Pretty Girl,” her strongest chart performer to that point. The following year brought a featured appearance on the Vamps’ track “Personal” alongside her own solo release “Obsessed.”

Lindemann resurfaced in 2018 with “Human,” launched her SWIXXZ clothing line, and joined drummer Travis Barker for “Friends Go.” During 2019 she endured five days of house arrest in Malaysia stemming from visa complications that were later cleared, allowing her return to the United States. September 2020 yielded the rock-tinged singles “Knife Under My Pillow” and “Loner,” both featured on the 2021 EP Paranoia. Early 2022 brought further singles such as the assertive “You’re Not Special,” preceding the September arrival of Suckerpunch. “Deprecating,” a collaboration with Siiickbrain, and a deluxe edition of Suckerpunch arrived in 2023, while the single “Hostage” preceded Headsplit in 2024.
