De'Wayne, a singer and rapper from Houston, Texas, constructs his work without limits by blending 1990s R&B, old-school hip-hop, and early-aughts pop-punk textures. Starting with melodic rap on his initial singles, he grew increasingly experimental, later joining forces with Good Charlotte and I Don't Know How But They Found Me for the 2022 album My Favorite Blue Jeans before turning toward melodic alt rock and indie rock on the 2024 EP I Want You More Than Anybody Wants You.

He launched his career in 2016 by issuing multiple singles. His debut EP, Don't Be Afraid, followed in 2017 and already signaled a willingness to merge disparate genres and styles without hesitation. After moving to Los Angeles he partnered with Hopeless Records, which issued the 2021 album STAINS. The next year brought his second full-length, My Favorite Blue Jeans, which pushed further into melodic rock, pop-punk, and forceful guitar-driven arrangements while featuring Poorstacy, grandson, Good Charlotte, and I Don't Know How But They Found Me. In 2023 he collaborated with No Love for the Middle Child on the single "2 A.M." The four-song EP I Want You More Than Anybody Wants You appeared in 2024, reflecting the impact of early-2000s garage rock revivalism alongside alternative and indie rock approaches.
