Biography
Emerging from Los Angeles, the Wrecks deliver energetic indie rock laced with melodic emo and punk elements. Their 2016 single "Favorite Liar" sparked rapid attention, prompting a signing with Big Noise that yielded the full-length Infinitely Ordinary in 2020.
The members—singer/guitarist Nick Anderson, guitarist Nick Schmidt, guitarist Westen Weiss, bassist Aaron Kelley, and drummer Billy Nally—all hail from Thousand Oaks, California. Barely assembled, they slipped into a nearby studio for three frantic days of clandestine recording that produced their debut EP, We Are the Wrecks, anchored by the same catchy single. Momentum online translated into high-profile support dates with Paramore and the Struts plus festival appearances at Lollapalooza and BottleRock. A second EP, Panic Vertigo, surfaced in 2018, and the band’s first LP arrived on the Big Noise imprint two years later.
