Lower

In 2009 drummer Anton Rothstein and vocalist Adrian Toubro launched the caustic Danish punk band Lower, soon recruiting guitarist Simon Formann and bassist Kristian Emdal to finalize a lineup whose shrill and angry sound drew from '80s hardcore, no wave, and early American underground indie. After issuing a demo tape plus multiple 7"s and EPs—including a 2013 split 7" alongside their equally aggressive post-hardcore contemporaries Iceage—Lower secured a deal with Matador that yielded their 2014 debut full-length, Seek Warmer Climes.
