Ludo

In 2003 the indie rock group Ludo originated in Tulsa, Oklahoma, assembled by Andrew Volpe, Tim Ferrell, Tim Convy, Marshall Fanciullo, and Matt Palermo before relocating their operations to St. Louis, Missouri. There they tracked their self-titled first album, which appeared that year on Redbird Records. Broken Bride, an EP, arrived in 2005. Island Records, a Universal Music imprint, signed the band in autumn 2006. Producer Matt Wallace, whose prior credits include Maroon 5, Train, and Faith No More, helmed sessions for the resulting major-label effort, You're Awful, I Love You. Released on February 26, 2008, the album coincided with a Midwest tour that expanded into coast-to-coast dates the next month.
