Biography
The downtempo act Madison Park, made up of DeAnna and James Cool, placed several early recordings on the opening pair of New Sound Theory collections. Those multi-artist sets appeared in 2003 through the duo’s own BasicLUX imprint. After their debut album Boutique arrived in 2004, “My Personal Moon”—first featured on New Sound Theory, Vol. 1—came out as a single and reached the Top 50 of Billboard’s dance chart. The follow-up “Ocean Drive” climbed higher still, landing at number 12.
