Manafest

Chris Greenwood, performing as the Christian rapper Manafest, began his recording career with a rap-rock approach before pivoting to a conventional hip-hop format. Raised in Pickering, Ontario, Canada, he introduced himself in 2003 via the album My Own Thing. Glory appeared in 2007, followed by The Chase in 2010. The Fighter arrived in 2012 and signaled a pronounced move toward rap with diminished rock elements. The Moment surfaced in 2014, confirming his placement firmly inside hip-hop. Also that year came the single “Let’s Go,” which featured Dave Stovall of Wavorly, while 2015 brought Reborn, his eighth studio album supported entirely by crowd funding. Stones was issued in 2017 and reflected a return to the rock-leaning style of his early work, with the companion remix set Stones Reloaded appearing the next year.
