Márcia, an award-winning vocalist, has shared stages with Baden Powell, Vinícius de Moraes, Eduardo Gudin, and Paulo César Pinheiro while introducing Johnny Alf’s composition “Eu e a Brisa” to audiences. She served as lead singer for Erlon Chaves’ orchestra. TV Tupi brought her on board in 1958; two years later she relocated to Porto Alegre for radio engagements. Several honors as best singer across radio and television arrived during that span. After returning to São Paulo she resumed live work, capturing the Berimbau de Ouro in 1965 for her I FMPB performance of “Miss Biquíni.” At the I FMPB in 1967 she delivered Johnny Alf’s “Eu e a Brisa,” later one of her biggest hits. Her debut LP, Eu e a Brisa, appeared in 1968. Multiple Portuguese concerts with Vinícius de Moraes and Baden Powell occupied her 1972 calendar. Further collaboration with Eduardo Gudin and Paulo César Pinheiro produced enduring success on the 1974 release O Importante é Que a Nossa Emoção Sobreviva, an achievement mirrored in 1996 by Tudo o Que Mais Nos Uniu.
