Biography
Mark McGuinn, a singer and songwriter whose roots are in jazz, entered the country music scene through his debut single "Mrs. Steven Rudy." A severe knee injury derailed the North Carolina native's aspirations of becoming a professional soccer player, prompting his relocation to Nashville where he honed his songwriting abilities. Subsequently, the up-and-coming VFR Records, a Nashville-based label open to new talent amid an unstable country music landscape, offered McGuinn a recording contract. Thanks to his distinctive appearance and innovative musical style, McGuinn has carved out a unique position within the country genre.
