Master Peace

Hailing from South East London, rapper Masterpeace crafts tracks that transcend conventional genre limits by drawing sonic inspiration from the 1980s and 1990s to fuse punk, indie, and grime.

Raised in Morden, he initially treated music as a casual pastime until friends encountered the unconventional flows and unconventional rhythms he had assembled on his own. Upon turning 16 he began uploading these eccentric experiments to the internet. His adoption of surf rock alongside 1980s punk and new wave set him apart from contemporaries, even as listeners drew parallels to Bakar, with whom he shared a 2018 tour.
