Michele Morrone, an Italian performer skilled in acting, vocals, and composition, attained worldwide prominence during 2020 after taking the central part of a mafia crime boss in the Netflix feature 365 Days. In the same period he entered the recording industry by issuing his first album, Dark Room, which contained multiple tracks that also appeared in the movie.

A native of Bitonto, Italy, Morrone started acting lessons while still in middle school and later pursued professional training at Teatro Fraschini di Pavia. Throughout his twenties his path advanced incrementally, moving from brief independent films and web series to established television programs before reaching feature-length projects, among them the 2019 release Bar Giuseppe, in which he portrayed the lead. Parallel to these efforts he developed his musical side by learning guitar without formal instruction and crafting dark-edged alternative pop material. His casting as crime boss Massimo Torricelli in the erotic romantic drama 365 Days also placed him on the soundtrack, where he performed several numbers including the slinky hit “Feel It.”

Issued to coincide with the film’s February 2020 premiere in Poland, Dark Room gathered both the soundtrack selections and additional original songs. Morrone’s profile rose sharply in both fields once 365 Days registered as a surprise success on Netflix later that year.
