Mo Beatz

South Carolina resident Mo Beatz initially concentrated solely on production until frustration with his MC collaborators pushed him to develop rapping skills of his own. The resulting style meshed with the minimal, resonant, and tuneful instrumentals he crafted for street audiences, yet he maintained ongoing partnerships with other rappers. Slightly more than half the songs on his 2013 release Introduction of da Paper Boy contained guest verses. Its 2014 follow-up, Paper Boy Reloaded, advanced his visibility through a stronger roster of featured artists that included Shyst Red and Mykko Montana. Trina joined him on the single “Bread Winner.”
