In the late 2010s Pi'erre Bourne established himself among rap's leading producers through chart-topping collaborations with Playboi Carti and 6ix9ine plus additional work alongside Kanye West, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, and further artists. He simultaneously built a parallel career as an MC, releasing mixtapes typified by atmospheric instrumentals and his own Auto-Tuned singing, among them 2019's The Life of Pi'erre 4. Broad attention first arrived after he handled production on Playboi Carti's breakout single "Magnolia" in 2017. Further recognition followed with the well-received 2019 mixtape Sli'merre, recorded with his frequent partner Young Nudy. The Life of Pi'erre 5 entered the Billboard 200 at number 35 in 2021. A string of joint releases then appeared alongside the solo projects Good Movie in 2022 and Grails in 2023.

Born Jordan Timothy Jenks, he passed summers at his grandmother's home in Queens, New York, where East Coast rap first captured his interest. His uncle, a rapper and graphic designer, provided early inspiration; Bourne began crafting beats while still in elementary school before relocating to Atlanta to study sound engineering and build a music career. Music releases began in 2014, followed by a 2015 position as a sound engineer at Epic Records that lasted one year before he departed to concentrate on his own work. Three installments of the solo series The Life of Pi'erre appeared in 2016, the same year he supplied tracks for Young Nudy and Trippie Redd. After an introduction to Playboi Carti, Bourne produced multiple cuts on the rapper's self-titled debut album, notably "wokeuplikethis*" featuring Lil Uzi Vert and the single "Magnolia." The latter track proved pivotal for both artists, while Bourne's producer tag ("Yo Pierre, you wanna come out here?," taken from The Jamie Foxx Show) itself became an online meme. He and Carti also cut the track "Yo Pi'erre!," initially slated as the lead single from The Life of Pi'erre 4.

Bourne quickly ranked among the most sought-after producers in rap. By the close of 2017 his credits already encompassed Lil Yachty, XXXTentacion, 21 Savage, 6ix9ine on "Gummo," Big Sean, and numerous others. He handled the bulk of Playboi Carti's widely praised 2018 album Die Lit, supplied Travis Scott's "Watch," and co-produced Kanye West's "Yikes." In 2019 he and Young Nudy issued their debut joint project Sli'merre to strong reviews. That summer brought his first official studio album, The Life of Pi'erre 4, a hazy, Auto-Tuned collection that included the song "Poof" and peaked just outside the Billboard 200's top 100. The Life of Pi'erre 5 followed in June 2021, featuring Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, and Sharc, and reached the Billboard 200's top 40.

He stayed active with collaborative albums involving Sharc, Chavo, and TM88. In 2022 those efforts included Wolf of Peachtree 2 with Jelly and Space Age Pimpin with Juicy J. Good Movie, his third solo studio album, arrived in September and featured only Don Toliver and Young Nudy as guests. The EP Grails appeared in 2023.
