Portland, Oregon rapper Yeat draws listeners in with his Auto-Tuned melodies, singular vocal presence, unpredictable production decisions, and sharp, attention-grabbing verses. Online virality combined with early cosigns from Drake helped raise his profile, prompting a deal with Interscope Records that yielded his proper studio debut, Up 2 Më, in 2021. Both 2 Alivë and Lyfë from 2022 landed inside the Billboard 200’s upper reaches, while AftërLyfe became his first Top Five album the following year. The long-awaited 2093 surfaced in 2024 and was soon joined by LYFESTYLE.

Born Noah Smith in 2000, he began issuing tracks around 2015, absorbing lessons from Young Thug’s melodic eccentricity and the forward-thinking beats of peers who emerged during his teenage years. Initially recording as Lil Yeat, he shortened the name in 2018 and unveiled his debut mixtape, Deep Blue Strips. Momentum accelerated quickly: three additional mixtapes appeared in 2019, two EPs followed in 2020, and stray singles surfaced between projects. Breakthrough arrived in 2021 when “Gët Busy” started circulating on TikTok; the song grew so pervasive that Drake referenced its lyrics.

With visibility climbing, Yeat dropped the mixtapes Alivë and 4L along with the Trëndi EP before entering Interscope to issue his first full-length studio album. Up 2 Më arrived in September 2021 and registered modest Billboard 200 placement. Early 2022 brought 2 Alivë, which debuted at number six, and Lyfë followed that September to reach number ten. AftërLyfe landed in 2023 at number four. 2093, featuring Lil Wayne and Future, emerged in 2024 and peaked at number two; its deluxe edition, 2093 (P2), added Drake. LYFESTYLE arrived the subsequent October.
