Autumn!

Born in Louisiana in 1997 as Benjamin C. Phillips, Jr., the rapper and producer known as Autumn! began crafting beats at the age of eleven. Initially producing under the moniker TwinUzis, he linked up with the rapper Summrs around 2016. His entry into the Internet rap collective Slayworld marked a shift, as he moved from primarily supplying beats for others to creating and issuing his own recordings. Embracing the R&B-tinged “Pluggnb” style that anchored much of the group’s sound, he took the name Autumn! and started releasing music around 2018. A handful of early singles quickly swelled into a steady catalog of tracks, EPs, mixtapes, and full projects. Standout efforts in this rapid sequence include the 2020 mixtape Ills Verront, the 2021 EP Exactly, and the 2022 project Antagonist!. Additional releases followed in 2023 with Golden Child: Chapter 3 and Midnight Club, then Solitary 2 and You Never Was Mine in 2024. His melodic vocal approach meshes naturally with the R&B-infused instrumentals that define his productions.
