Spill Tab serves as the performing alias for Claire Chicha, the singer and songwriter whose boundaryless indie-electronic bedroom pop frequently alternates between French and English vocals. After early tracks such as "Calvaire," she moved to a major label and drew broader attention with her initial pair of EPs, Oat Milk in 2020 and Bonnie in 2021. An extended stretch of live dates then preceded the arrival of her third EP, Klepto, in 2023.

Raised in Los Angeles by immigrant parents of French and Korean descent, Chicha absorbed jazz, classical music, and Disney pop in her early years before moving on to indie rock, EDM, and additional styles that she later wove into her own closely focused and inventive material. Once college ended, she accompanied Gus Dapperton on the road, beginning in roles as an A&R intern and merchandise manager before the pair began making music together. Under the Spill Tab name, she gained notice via the 2020 release "Calvaire," which she co-produced alongside David Marinelli. The widely streamed "Cotton Candy" came next, prompting her signing to Arista Records and the December 2020 issuance of her debut EP, Oat Milk. During the opening months of 2021 she sustained momentum with varied singles including "PISTOLWHIP" and "Anybody Else," both later included on the December Bonnie EP that also featured appearances by Dapperton, JAWNY, and Tommy Genesis. Additional work that year produced the Metronomy collaboration "Uneasy." Throughout 2022 she remained active on tour while issuing singles such as "Splinter" and "Crème Brûlée." An appearance at Austin’s SXSW festival in March 2023 heightened interest in Klepto, which surfaced that July. Later the same year she joined Matilda Mann for the track "Borderline Insane."
