Born in 1996, Atlanta rapper UnotheActivist first picked up the mic while still attending high school. One of his earliest endeavors was the crew TFZ, which counted his cousin Playboi Carti among its members. After a brief attempt at higher education, he turned his full attention to recording, issuing the 2015 mixtape No More Thotties and building early momentum through the track “Parkin’ Lot Pimping.”

The following year brought the Gift of Gab mixtape and further notice when he appeared on Playboi Carti’s “What.” A steady schedule of live dates and studio sessions soon developed, linking him with Thouxanbanfauni, Trippie Redd, and Maxo Kream.

In 2017 he dropped the widely anticipated Live.Shyne.Die mixtape, whose beats came from Lutim and Peyote and which included guest verses from Famous Dex, YSL Duke, and additional contributors. Limbus, Pt. 2 arrived in 2018, followed in 2019 by For Christ Sake 2, the second installment of his earlier joint project with Thouxanbanfauni. His first official studio album, 8, reached listeners in 2020.
