Key Glock

Memphis native Key Glock specializes in icy, unyielding rhymes centered on sex, firearms, and wealth. He modernizes the hazy, drugged-out sound pioneered by earlier Memphis legends such as Three 6 Mafia, achieving both critical and commercial traction through releases like the 2020 project Yellow Tape and the two Dum and Dummer collaborations with Young Dolph. After the 2020 mixtape Son of a Gun, Glock rejoined forces with Dolph to reach number eight on the Billboard 200 via 2021’s Dum and Dummer 2, then issued the follow-up album Yellow Tape 2. Glockoma 2 arrived in 2023, later expanded as a deluxe edition alongside multiple singles.

His first mixtape, Glock Season, surfaced on Paper Route Empire in 2017. That project contained the tracks “On My Soul” and “Racks Today” (featuring Jay Fizzle) along with beats from Sosa 808, Izze tha Producer, and DJ Squeeky. Early in 2018 he delivered Glock Bond, which entered the Billboard 200 outside the Top 100. He closed the year with the mixtape Glockoma. In 2019 he linked with longtime associate Young Dolph for the joint album Dum and Dummer. The set accumulated tens of millions of streams and paved the way for Key Glock’s January 2020 solo effort Yellow Tape. Its stark beats and relentless delivery resonated widely, allowing the album to register on the Billboard charts. Just five months afterward came his second 2020 release, Son of a Gun. The project again featured only Key Glock and debuted at number 37 on the Billboard Top 200.

Dolph and Glock reconvened in 2021 for Dum and Dummer 2. Packed with boastful anthems, the album climbed to number eight on the Billboard 200. That same year Glock unveiled the follow-up to his initial 2020 release, Yellow Tape 2, which spotlighted the singles “Ambition for Cash,” “Da Truth,” and “Toolie.” A deluxe version surfaced in 2022, accompanied by the single “Diapers” and a guest spot on Megan Thee Stallion’s Traumazine. The five-song EP PRE5L dropped in 2022. Glockoma 2 reached stores in 2023, peaking at number 13 on the Billboard 200 before receiving a deluxe treatment. Later that year Glock offered “No Hook 2” as the opening track from the Glocktober series. Additional cuts such as “One Me” and “Let’s Go” followed, with “The Greatest” appearing in 2024.
