Big Moochie Grape

Hailing from East Memphis, Big Moochie Grape produces rap defined by equal parts raw energy and forceful intensity, reshaping the legacy of Memphis scene legends into a sound entirely his own. He joined Young Dolph’s Paper Route Empire in 2020 and remained active with the imprint after Dolph’s 2021 murder, issuing the 2022 album East Haiti Baby and the 2024 mixtape Eat or Get Ate 2.

Born Zequelius Davenport and raised in Memphis, he absorbed the style of regional acts such as Three 6 Mafia while growing up. Around 2017 he began recording his own material after locating an affordable studio. His developed approach soon attracted the notice of hometown star Young Dolph, who signed him to Paper Route Empire in 2020 for the release of his debut mixtape Eat or Get Ate. The project displayed Moochie’s characteristic mix of hard-edged street narratives and wry humor, leading to additional singles and guest appearances on other artists’ tracks. In 2022 he delivered the 15-track studio album East Haiti Baby, which included features from the late Dolph, Key Glock, and Kenny Muney. An expanded edition titled East Haiti Baby: Incarcerated appeared the following year with numerous extra songs, and 2024 brought the sequel mixtape Eat or Get Ate 2. That release enlisted Big Scarr, Money Man, and further contributors, several tracks also featuring Key Glock.
