Biography
Hailing from North Carolina, rapper Stunna 4 Vegas delivers a sharp-edged and combative delivery shaped by regional peers including T.I. and Gucci Mane. In just a few years this once-aspiring teenage lyricist progressed from underground respect to signing with a major label after compiling an extensive catalog of mixtapes and standalone cuts. His link with DaBaby on the track “Animal” preceded the 2019 commercial debut Big 4x, which was soon followed by Rich Youngin reaching the upper tier of the Billboard 200’s top 30 in 2020. Additional projects arrived in the form of Welcome to 4 Vegas that same year and Rae Rae’s Son in 2022.
Born Khalick Caldwell, he began writing rhymes during his senior year of high school in his hometown of Salisbury, positioned between Winston-Salem and Charlotte. Recording at first simply as Stunna, he issued independent efforts such as 4 Way or No Way and Stunna Season 2 that generated modest local attention. In 2018 he recruited DaBaby for a verse on “Animal” and joined the Charlotte artist’s emerging Billion Dollar Baby roster; continued sessions together ultimately secured both performers deals with Interscope.
Stunna 4 Vegas entered the Interscope roster in May 2019 with Big 4x, an album that bowed at number 50 on the Billboard 200 and included DaBaby on “Ashley” and “Sticks,” Offset on “4th of July,” Lil Durk on “Durkio,” plus further appearances from NLE Choppa and Young Nudy. Eight months later he returned with Rich Youngin, which climbed to number 29 buoyed by DaBaby and Lil Baby on the lead single “Do Dat.” Welcome to 4 Vegas surfaced before year’s end; although its chart placement proved lower, cuts such as “Choppa Town,” “Gangsta Party,” and the DaBaby collaboration “Rich Off Words” quickly accumulated millions of streams. After scattered loose tracks and guest spots throughout 2021, Stunna released his unflinching fourth Interscope album, Rae Rae’s Son, in 2022.
