Biography
Emerging from Atlanta, rapper Slimelife Shawty introduced audiences to his flowing, melodic approach and candid lyrics during 2018 via a feature on Lil Keed's track "Blicky Blicky." Growth in his standing came from endorsements by JGreen and Young Thug prior to dropping the EP 100 Reasons in 2019, which contained the popular streaming tracks "Bankroll" and "40 Bars." Securing a contract with Alamo Records in 2020, he brought in his mentor Lil Durk as producer for the subsequent release. This effort, titled Better Living, comprised 14 songs and highlighted the successful "Suit Me Up" with Durk, plus appearances by Future, Nardo Wick, and Jackboy.
