Biography
South Carolina rapper Blacc Zacc crafts polished, self-assured songs that pair pop-infused hooks with his signature swagger. Years of refinement carried him from teenage rhyme sessions through a string of self-released mixtapes, the creation of his own entertainment imprint, and finally a major-label contract. Worldwide notice arrived in 2019, when his sharp flows and hard-edged beats surfaced first on tracks such as “Chump Change” and the Key Glock collaboration “Hahaha,” then on the albums Life of a Trapper in 2022 and No Distractions in 2024.
Born Zachary Chapman in Columbia, South Carolina, in 1990, he developed an early passion for music and began rapping at 13. Adopting the name Blacc Zacc, he issued his debut mixtape, 1st Round Draft Pick, in 2010 and continued dropping projects throughout the following years while refining his style. As the decade closed, he launched Dirty Money Entertainment to handle his output, including the 2016 mixtape Dirty Summer that featured Young Dolph alongside appearances on other artists’ records. After prolonged independent work, he joined Interscope in 2019; his first release under the deal was the mixtape Trappin’ Like Zacc, whose refined sound included contributions from Key Glock, DaBaby, Stunna 4 Vegas, and additional guests. Before year’s end he issued the follow-up single “Time Again.” Remaining active through 2020, he delivered multiple singles plus the albums Carolina Narco and 803 Legend. In 2021 he joined DME for the mixtape Walk Down Gang, then returned in 2022 with Life of a Trapper, which spotlighted Toosii, Icewear Vezzo, and Fatt Loc. The next year brought the joint mixtape 48 Hours with NEKKO BABY, while his 2024 solo set No Distractions incorporated verses from Renni Rucci and Banks DaYoungan.
