Chicago rapper and Boochie Gang founder Lud Foe pairs his intense verses with ethereal, substance-infused beats. He arrived on the map in 2015 through an array of raw street tracks and underground tapes, which paved the way for the 2020 studio album Guns Up Funds Up.

Born William Akins, Lud Foe established himself that same year via assorted singles, mixtapes, and an endorsement from Lil Durk. His breakthrough arrived with the 2015 Bxnkroll-produced track “187,” which led into 2016’s pair of Welcome 2 Chiraq installments plus the standalone mixtape No Hooks that carried the song “Suicide.” Also that year came “Hublot” and “Cuttin’ Up,” the latter gaining a remix that featured Lil Durk. Following a near-fatal car crash in March 2017, he issued the projects Get Well Foe and No Hooks II, both containing material cut while his jaw remained wired. The 2018 mixtape Boochie Gang showcased Juicy J, G Herbo, and Mozzy. A handful of additional singles preceded the 2020 arrival of Guns Up Funds Up, which brought guest appearances from Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Durk, and YBN Nahmir.
