Active in Chicago from the early 2010s onward, Supa Bwe works as a rapper, singer, and producer whose style shifts between mellow Auto-Tuned crooning and hyper-aggressive barking rooted in screamo. Local recognition arrived through his involvement with Hurt Everybody, after which numerous small-scale solo releases preceded his first full-length album, Finally Dead, issued in 2017. An EP titled Just Thank You arrived in 2019.

Frederick McCulloch-Burton, raised on Chicago’s West Side, began creating music in his late teens yet only committed fully several years afterward. Recording commenced in 2012, and from 2014 through 2016 he formed one-third of Hurt Everybody, whose output included a self-titled EP alongside the full-length project 2K47. Following additional underground solo material of assorted lengths, Supa spent roughly a year shaping Finally Dead, which he regards as his authentic solo debut; the 2017 release included appearances from Saba, Xavier Omar, and Juju. By that point he had already contributed to dozens of tracks by Taylor Bennett and Twista, while his most prominent guest spot came on Chance the Rapper’s “Wala Cam.” The 2019 EP Just Say Thank You, featuring Chance’s return appearance on “Rememory,” came next.
