Money Man, the Atlanta rapper known for his gentle and understated vocal approach, recounts direct accounts of street existence and hustling endeavors across trap productions. Choosing independence instead of a major-label contract, he has preserved full authority over his trajectory by dropping countless mixtapes while reaching the Top 40 of the Billboard 200 with 2019’s Paranoia. He returned to that same chart region with 2020’s Epidemic, while 2021’s Blockchain nearly entered the Top Ten. Maintaining his rapid output, he followed with 2022’s Big Money and 2023’s CROPTOBER.

Although born in New York City, Money Man grew up in Decatur, Georgia, and first tried entering rap during the early 2010s before stepping away for several years to handle his personal finances. He resurfaced decisively in 2016 with three Black Circle mixtapes that included contributions from Young Thug, Akon, Gucci Mane, and additional artists, quickly building a substantial audience. The following year brought two further projects, Secret Society and 24 Hours. His output peaked in volume during 2018, when five additional mixtapes appeared—Grow God, 6 Hours (Pts. 1 & 2), and TraumaMan—alongside the Winter EP. In 2019 he released the 25-track full-length Paranoia, which entered the Top 40 of the Billboard 200; before year’s end he also issued the collaborative mixtape Long Money alongside Atlanta rap fixture Peewee Longway, a 20-song set that featured Young Dolph and Kamaiyah.

Epidemic, a concise mixtape referencing the COVID-19 outbreak, arrived in 2020, as did State of Emergency, which reached number 56 on the Billboard 200. Blockchain followed in November 2021 and climbed to number 13. The EP Whale Games preceded the full-length Big Money in 2022; the latter included Benny the Butcher, Nardo Wick, and G Herbo. October brought the brief Blackout and its expanded counterpart, Blackout: The Sequel. Red Eye, the 2023 full-length containing appearances by Babyface Ray, Peezy, and Juney Knotzz, was succeeded before year’s end by Catch Me If You Can and CROPTOBER.
