Atlanta-based rapper Skooly shapes his sound through clever production choices, rapidly shifting flows, and beats custom-built around his Auto-Tuned melodies and commanding vocal delivery. He first entered the industry as a teenager, issuing material on Columbia Records alongside his Rich Kidz crew before inking a solo deal with 2 Chainz’s T.R.U. imprint, where he has maintained a steady output that includes the 2020 mixtape The Boy with the Bars and the 2024 album Westside Legend.

Born Kazarion Fowler in 1994, he established the hip-hop collective Rich Kidz at age 14 alongside friend Kaelub Denson. From the group’s formation in 2008, Skooly worked with Denson (also known as RKaelub) and an expanding roster of collaborators until launching his solo path around 2015, beginning with a run of singles and the Blacc John Gotti mixtape that included contributions from Young Dolph, Ryns, Que, and 2 Chainz. The latter partnership quickly led to Skooly joining the T.R.U. roster. His first project under the label arrived with the 2017 album BAcCWArdFeELiNgS, which showcased guest appearances by Young Thug, Kidd, and additional artists. The Don’t You Ever Forget Me EP appeared the following year and again featured 2 Chainz, spawning the quick succession of Don’t You Ever Forget Me 2 and Don’t You Ever Forget Me 3 before the year closed.

Skooly sustained his pattern of frequent joint ventures, linking with Lil Xan for the 2018 cut “Crazy Shit” and joining NoCap and Quando Rondo on the 2020 group remix “How I Feel (Remix).” Beyond scattered singles, he unveiled the 2020 mixtapes Nobody Likes Me, which carried features from Lil Baby, Harp Szn, and Tay Keith, and The Boy with the Bars. Following several years focused largely on standalone tracks, he dropped the Sleeping Giant EP in 2023 and its companion Sleeping Giants, Pt. 2 shortly afterward, then delivered the full-length Westside Legend in July 2024.
