Offset

Offset, one of three voices in the rap collective Migos, stood out to listeners through his rapid triplet flow, frequent interjections, and inventive wordplay while the trap trio climbed the hip-hop rankings. Following Migos’ breakthrough, he pursued solo projects, linking with multiple artists and logging major chart entries on Tyga’s “Taste” and Kodak Black’s “Zeze” in 2018. His debut full-length, Father of 4, arrived in early 2019, peaking at number four on the Billboard 200 and yielding the Grammy-nominated single “Clout.” Migos released Culture III in 2021, after which Offset devoted the next two years to standalone tracks and features alongside IDK, Trippie Redd, Moneybagg Yo, Metro Boomin, and others. His second studio album, 2023’s Set It Off, returned him to the Billboard 200’s top five, leading into 2024 collaborations with Gunna on “Style Rare” and “Prada Dem.”

Born Kiari Kendrell Cephus in Lawrenceville, Georgia, he first assembled the group Polo Club in 2009. The following year he founded Migos with Takeoff and cousin Quavo. The trio escaped the underground after “Versace,” featured on the 2013 mixtape Young Rich N*ggas, became a widespread hit. Offset appeared on Migos’ chart-topping studio albums, including 2017’s Culture and its 2018 successor Culture II. Without Warning, a joint project with 21 Savage and Metro Boomin, surfaced on Halloween 2017 and immediately reached the Billboard 200’s top five, housing his triple-platinum single “Ric Flair Drip.” Around the same period he married Cardi B in a private ceremony, though the couple’s fluctuating relationship remained a frequent subject of public discussion.

After several guest spots—including the multi-platinum top-ten singles “Taste” with Tyga and “Zeze” with Kodak Black—Offset released “Red Room,” which appeared on his 2019 solo debut Father of 4. The project debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 and logged a second week inside the top ten. The Cardi B-assisted follow-up single “Clout” received a Grammy nomination the next year.

In 2021 Offset and Migos delivered Culture III, while he joined Trippie Redd, Lil Durk, Kevin Gates, and King Von on the all-star track “Hit Em Hard” from the Fast & Furious 9 soundtrack. He returned to the charts in 2022 with “Big 14” (with Trippie Redd and Moneybagg Yo), “54321,” and “Code” (with Moneybagg Yo). The following year he issued “2 Live,” a collaboration with Hit-Boy, then guested with JID on “Danger” from Metro Boomin’s Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse soundtrack.

July 2023 brought the single “Jealousy” with wife Cardi B, serving as an early preview of his next studio album, Set It Off. A second single, “Fan,” arrived in September, and the full project dropped in October via Motown after Offset ended his association with Quality Control Music over publishing disputes. The album included appearances from Travis Scott, Latto, Future, Young Nudy, Chlöe, and others, along with production from multiple contributors, ultimately peaking at number five on the Billboard 200. In 2024 he paired with Gunna on the non-album single “Style Rare” and appeared on “Prada Dem.”
