Biography
An Indonesian pop singer known also as Mulan Kwok, Mulan Jameela launched her recording career in 2005 as one half of the duo Ratu with Maia Ahmad. The pair enjoyed several prosperous years before internal conflicts dissolved the partnership, prompting Jameela to pursue work on her own. After switching management she secured a contract with EMI and issued her first full-length album, the self-titled Mulan Jameela, in 2007. The tracks “Makhluk Tuhan Paling Sexy” and “Wonder Woman” each reached the top of the Indonesian singles chart, earning the artist platinum certification in her native country.
