Biography
Narissa, a Los Angeles rapper, merges classic hip-hop influences with a sharper trap edge.
Raised in a prominent household in Slauson, Los Angeles, she grew up with a father who moved from the NFL to firefighting, a mother who managed a real estate firm, and an uncle who wrote songs in L.A. for a young Tupac and later showed her how to craft lyrics. After completing coursework in Business and Communications at St John's University, she elected to direct those skills toward a career in music. Having first recorded as Freddy Hefner, she adopted the name Narissa at the time of her debut EP, Long Story Short, in 2017. Two years later she founded the beauty parlor The Lash Trap and assembled the Lash Trap playlist project to support the venture.
