Biography
Nathan Pedreira came into the world in 1990 within Hamburg’s Karolinenviertel neighborhood and, as the German-Angolan rapper Nate57, cultivated an early affinity for hip-hop. Working alongside his brother, producer Blacky White, he sharpened his MC abilities before issuing his debut mixtape, Wilkommen auf St. Pauli, via Rattos Locos Records in 2008. The following year he joined forces with Telly Telz for the joint project Verruckte Ratten; its final cut, “Blaulicht,” drew notice from Sido, Farid Bang, and Fler. Nate57’s first proper solo album, Stress Aufm Kiez, appeared in 2010, succeeded by the mixtape Auf der Jagd, which reached number ten on the German charts in 2011.
