Biography
An actress of Russian descent, Olesya Rulin first attracted widespread attention through her lead performance in Disney’s popular High School Musical film series. After claiming victory in a modeling contest at age twelve, she entered the industry and soon became closely tied to the studio’s commercial successes, most notably by playing Kelsi Nielsen in those blockbuster entries. Additional breakthroughs followed when she shared the screen with Jessica Simpson in Major Movie Star and with Billy Ray Cyrus in the drama Flying By.
