Olli Schulz

On December 15, 1978, Oliver "Olli" Schulz came into the world as frontman and leader of the German group Olli Schulz und der Hund Marie, whose English rendering is "Olli Schulz and the Dog Named Marie." Prior to stepping forward as a recording artist, Schulz had earned recognition mainly for his behind-the-scenes contributions, until Kettcar's Marcus Wiebusch enabled him to produce material under his own name. His debut full-length, Brichst du Mir das Herz, Dann Brech' Ich Dir Diebe, appeared on Grand Hotel in 2003. Two further albums followed in quick succession: Das Biege Album in 2005 and Warten auf den Bumerang the next year. A two-year interval then passed before Olli resurfaced with the 2008 EP Ausflug mit Razzia.
