Papa

Papa, the Los Angeles duo of drummer/vocalist Darren Weiss (ex-Girls) and bassist/songwriter Daniel Presant, build their sound around expansive indie rock anthems designed for arenas, merging high-energy electro-pop with a sweeping, highway-bound Americana that echoes Bruce Springsteen. Inspired by groups such as the Killers and Passion Pit, the pair launched their career in 2011 through the EP A Good Woman Is Hard to Find, which secured opening slots with Ra Ra Riot and Grouplove before earning a deal with Island/Republic that delivered the full-length debut Tender Madness in 2013.
