Biography
Formed in Sweden's Västerås during 1998, Psychopunch took shape as a hard rock, punk, and metal act with its origins and ongoing base remaining in the country. The quartet of JM on lead vocals and guitar, Joey on guitar, Mumbles on bass, and Peppe on drums issued its opening release that year, the demo 333 Half as Evil. Next came the 1999 album We Are Just As Welcome As Holy Water In Satan's Drink, then a 2000 set split between studio and live material titled Bursting Out of Chucky's Town. Their 2002 album The Pleasure Kill brought sufficient notice for festival appearances at Summer Breeze and Wacken the following year. Fifth album Smashed on Arrival arrived on Silverdust Records in 2004, matching the timing of Kamikaze Love Reducer two years later. The band also issued numerous splits alongside other groups and delivered the full-length Moonlight City in 2008.
