Biography
The Swedish garage rock outfit the Sewergrooves originated in a home recording project initiated during the winter of 1995 by Stockholm-based singer/guitarist Kurt Dräckes and bassist Andreas Broman. Once the resulting tapes reached Hellacopters drummer Robert Eriksson, he volunteered to become part of the lineup. Their inaugural official release arrived in 1997 in the form of a limited-edition 7" EP on the recently launched Low Impact label. The singles "Could've Been Dead" and "Two Time Loser" appeared ahead of the Sewergrooves' first full-length effort, Songs from the Sewer, which surfaced in 1999 and later received a U.S. reissue on Estrus Records together with the singles compilation Three Time Losers.
