Originating from London, England, the dubstep producer Ramadanman maintains an association with the Hessle Audio imprint. Born David Kennedy in North London, he first took up DJing at age 14 and shifted into production a year later. After enrolling at university in Leeds, England, he immersed himself in that city’s emerging dubstep circles. During 2006 he launched the Ramadanman label and issued his debut release, the two-track digital single “Dynamic Balancing/Hungarian Skank,” which was followed by several additional outings on the same imprint.

In 2007 he co-founded Hessle Audio alongside fellow students Ben UFO and Pangaea, and together they established the Ruffage club night in Leeds. Subsequent productions appeared on Hessle Audio as well as on 2nd Drop Records, Soul Jazz Records, and Apple Pips. Material issued on Hessle Audio under the separate alias Pearson Sound also bears his name. His catalog further encompasses numerous remixes and appearances on compilations, among them Round Black Ghosts (2008) and Round Black Ghosts, Vol. 2 (2009), both released on the ~scape label.

Beyond studio work, Ramadanman gained recognition as a dubstep DJ through club sets and online mixes, in addition to compiling the second disc of the Tempa collection Dubstep Allstars, Vol. 7 (2009).
