Born in Monterrey during 1995, RENEE developed as a Mexican singer-songwriter who first turned to songwriting while still in her early teens. Serious musical training followed shortly afterward and prompted her relocation away from her native city in order to launch a professional path. Everyday topics such as friendships and romantic connections surface regularly in her words, whereas the sonic approach echoes the buoyant pop of Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, and Shakira. EMI/Universal secured her signature in 2020 and thereby facilitated the launch of her opening album Breve Espacio. RENEE then spent the ensuing years expanding her social-media presence and shaping a personal artistic profile through multiple singles plus joint recordings involving Fran, Jacinto, Danny Schiller, Mario Puglia, Bratty, Soy Os, La La Love You, Sexy Pigeon, Estilo Sin Límite, Amuna, and George Rhoads. The sustained effort produced tangible results in 2023 once “Nunca Tristes,” drawn from her follow-up album NMDQH, achieved viral momentum on TikTok.
