Biography
Ridan, the French rapper renowned for deploying "verlan"—the inverted-syllable street vernacular comparable to backslang or pig Latin—first gained recognition in 2004 with the release of his debut album Le Rêve Ou la Vie, which contained the hit single "Le Quotidien." He resurfaced three years afterward with L'Ange de Mon Démon, a markedly graver record that urged the younger generation to cling to hope amid mounting worldwide turbulence.
