Biography
Sara Lov, born in Hawaii, achieved her initial success as a singer and songwriter after settling in Los Angeles, where she established the dream pop duo Devics together with pianist Dustin O'Halloran. Bella Union, the British record company founded by Simon Raymonde of Cocteau Twins, signed the ensemble, prompting a relocation to Italy. Eventually opting for an independent path, Lov collaborated with producer Zac Rae, known for his work with Gnarls Barkley, to create a complete album. Finishing the project required her return to the Los Angeles region, during which period she joined Sea Wolf on tour and appeared at various venues throughout L.A. The resulting record, Seasoned Eyes Were Beaming, inspired by her nomadic upbringing and earlier romances, received a release date in 2009.
