Biography
Scott Cossu's group performances reflect the passion, depth, and mastery of an artist guided by individual vision instead of prevailing commercial currents. His first release, the 1980 album Still Moments, used harp, cello, and vibes to offset his pianistic improvisations during an era when solo instrumental recordings dominated listener tastes. Across subsequent years his approach has grown increasingly nuanced and refined. Because he approached every phase of artistic growth with complete sincerity and expressive purpose, however, each of his albums retains an enduring and independent presence.
