Biography
Emerging from Toulouse, France, where the group formed in 1997, Sidilarsen stands as a French alternative metal band whose first album surfaced in 2003. Drawing inspiration from industrial metal outfits such as Nine Inch Nails and Rammstein as well as electronica projects including the Prodigy and Micropoint, the lineup features Didou on vocals, Viber on guitar and vocals, Benben on guitar, Fryzzzer on bass and electronics, and Samuel on drums and electronics. Their opening full-length release, Biotop, arrived that year through M10 in tandem with the Antistatic collective. The follow-up, Eau (2005) on Pias, became the first Sidilarsen album to appear on the French albums chart, after which came the remix set Réactivation Numérique (2006). Their third effort, Une Nuit Pour Sept Jours (2008) via New Track Music, reached the highest position yet at number 140 on the French albums chart.
