Sistars

Formed in 2001, the Polish pop/R&B ensemble Sistars remained active for roughly five years. Their debut full-length, Sila Siostr (Sister Power), arrived in 2003, yet the sisters Natalia and Paulina Przybysz who fronted the group had already contributed to a track by rapper Tede shortly beforehand. Producers and songwriters Bartek Królik and Marek Piotrowski completed the lineup alongside the Przybysz sisters prior to that album’s release. An EP surfaced in 2004, and the hit album A.E.I.O.U. followed in 2005. Over the ensuing years the band collected multiple awards before disbanding; in 2007 the posthumous greatest-hits set Best of Sistars reached the Polish Top Ten.
