Solid Base

Jonas Eriksson and Mattias Eliasson, working as producers, joined Oslo-born vocalist Isabelle Heitman—whose studies in ethnic and classical music occurred in Gottenburg and Stockholm—with DJ/rapper Thomas Nordin to form the Euro-pop duo Solid Base. The group entered the market in 1994 through the single “Together”. Their opening album, Finally, appeared in 1996. Two years after that release, the breakthrough track “Come'N'Get Me” surfaced on the second full-length project, The Take Off. The 1999 album Express delivered Solid Base’s initial international breakthrough, propelled in part by the Japanese chart-topping single “Once You Pop (You Can’t Stop)”.
