Suzanne Kraft serves as the solo alias for Diego Herrera, a Los Angeles-based producer and DJ who also belongs to the neo-disco collective Pharaohs. Releases issued as 12" EPs under the Kraft name generally emphasize lush, dancefloor-centric deep house and disco, whereas his albums pursue more experimental paths by weaving in acoustic guitars and stepping away from steady rhythmic frameworks. His first album, Missum, received a limited CD-R edition via Discotheque Records in 2010. The disco-influenced EP Green Flash surfaced on Running Back in 2011, with Horoscope arriving on Young Adults the following year. After Kraft supplied remixes for artists such as Tomas Barfod and the Cyclist, Running Back reissued Missum in 2014, while Noise in My Head put out his downtempo EP Tracks for Performance that same year. Melody as Truth issued his second full-length, Talk from Home, in 2015; the set extended the meditative acoustic guitar approach heard on Missum yet incorporated several tracks featuring downtempo electronic beats. He shifted back toward uptempo club-oriented material via the 2016 DJ Safety EP on Kitjen.
