Biography
Temecula Road cultivates a bright country-pop sound built around sugary vocal blends and a laid-back West Coast vibe that holds steady across both reflective ballads and brisk, upbeat numbers. What began as a three-piece narrowed in 2022 to the duo of Dawson Anderson and Emma Salute, who introduced the revised lineup through the successive releases “Heartbreak in Boots,” “By You,” and “Wrong Ones Do.”
Anderson first crossed paths with Emma Salute and her sister Maddie via a shared vocal coach during their pre-teen years. The connection soon sparked songwriting sessions, prompting the three to launch a band that played its debut gig in 2013 while drawing from the early-2000s country stylings of Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. By 2016 the group had logged extensive road time, supporting Sara Evans, Josh Turner, Martina McBride, and Eli Young Band before joining Jessie James Decker’s tour. Late that year the act inked a deal with Buena Vista Records, earning Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing designation as only the second country outfit so honored. Buena Vista issued the first single, “Closer,” at the close of 2016, with “What If I Kissed You,” “Hoping,” “Everything Without You,” and the holiday track “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!” following in 2017.
Relocating to Nashville in 2019 allowed the trio to deepen its country foundation. That same year Temecula Road issued four singles beginning with “Fades,” then “Never Knew I Needed You,” “Christmas in Dixie,” and “Maybe Not.” Stripped-down acoustic renditions of those tracks except the seasonal cut appeared in 2020 alongside the new song “The Climb.” Early 2021 brought further mainstream exposure when “Everything I Love” premiered on The Bachelor.
Following Maddie Salute’s departure in early 2022, Emma Salute and Dawson Anderson opted to carry on as a duo, unveiling “Heartbreak in Boots” as their initial release and quickly adding “By You” and “Wrong Ones Do.”
