Biography
Grindcore's origins are frequently traced to Napalm Death's 1987 masterpiece Scum alongside Carcass's earliest recordings, yet the overlooked outfit Terrorizer receives reverent mention from extreme metallists worldwide for its 1989 release World Downfall. David Vincent handled bass and vocals, Pete Sandoval played drums, Jesse Pintado covered guitar duties, and Oscar Garcia supplied vocals. This lone album has inspired countless imitators across subsequent decades through its pioneering fusion of speed and aggression. Renowned thrash and death metal producer Scott Burns oversaw the sessions, and a quick look at titles such as "Fear of Napalm," "Strategic Warheads," "Enslaved by Propaganda," "Dead Shall Rise," and similar cuts signals the hellacious ride in store. After the breakup, every member surfaced elsewhere: Vincent with the Genitorturers, Sandoval with Morbid Angel, Pintado with Napalm Death, and Garcia with Nausea.
