The Chopstars

The Chopstars stand as the foremost assembly committed to upholding DJ Screw's pioneering chopped and screwed remix method. From their formation in the early 2000s, Swishahouse co-founder OG Ron C has directed the ensemble, which has featured more than twelve additional DJs and turntablists. Among them are Houston, Texas-born figures like DJ Lil Steve, DJ Hollygrove, and DJ Candlestick, along with younger talent DJ Baby Chino, Russian DJ D.A., and Mike G from Odd Future. The crew's remix projects encompass full albums from Chamillionaire, Drake, Rick Ross, and 2 Chainz, extending also to non-hip-hop works by Frank Ocean, Little Dragon, and Thundercat. Furthering Ron C's "ChopNotSlop" style, they have produced extra mixtapes and hosted online radio programs.
